Background & Experience

I have been in practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 1987.

My approach is flexible and eclectic, and I adapt the treatment plan to each individual.  I enjoy helping clients from all walks of life and have worked extensively within the LGBTQA+ community.

I hold licenses in Clinical Social Work (LCSW) in both New York and New Jersey and have achieved the Diplomate (DCSW) in Clinical Social Work, which is the highest level of credentialing available through the National Association of Social Workers.

I do medical hypnosis as well, and work with issues such as anxiety around medical procedures and surgeries (pre-op and post-op); tinnitus;  teeth grinding, IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), living with chronic illness, and much more.

I practice a non-martial arts form of T’ai Chi/Qigong and am a meditator in the Soto Zen tradition. Both influence my work as a psychotherapist. I regularly contribute articles to Tricycle Magazine: The Buddhist Review.
